3of12: A Mar. 2017 Playlist

Another month in and more kinks to work out. March had five Fridays after Jan. and Feb. had four. So, more music to sift through, more cuts to make.

Like last month, we also have some big releases to consider: Drake, Ed Sheeran, four new Nicki songs. And starting last week, Kendrick Lamar began his album rollout, giving us "The Heart Pt. 4" and "HUMBLE." A video for the latter confirming him as one of the leading artistic voices in rap and music.

Though "HUMBLE" dropped just yesterday, it sits below at no. 10, the Mike Will and Pluss produced beat making me wish I had car windows to lower and a volume knob to raise. These playlists should be mini-time capsules, sometimes capturing a month, sometimes capturing a 48 hour period where I play one song 25 times. The construction of these lends itself to that sort of obsessive listening. Newer songs getting more plays as the deadline - the end of the month - draws closer.
